Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet + Arrow of Light

Tuesday, February 28, 2012 by Lolli 15 Comments

Tonight was the biggest night of the year for Twizzler’s Cub Scout den, and probably his biggest achievement ever. Tonight Twizzler “crossed over” from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts and received the very special Arrow of Light award.

It was a fun night full of awards, enchiladas, and fancy desserts that the boys each made (this year’s theme was “arts and crafts”). Twizzler’s treat is the Statue of Liberty made out of colored rice crispie treats. My favorite? The KitKat and M&M cake. Yum!

In other news, Twizzler’s voice is starting to change. All of the sudden it has dropped an octave and I hardly recognize it. Is it really time for that already??

My good friend made this Arrow of Light plaque for both boys who received the award tonight. Incredible!

Awesome party! I can’t work that hard on a party anymore. Or ever. I’m so tired.

Wow, those Cub Scouts would give the Girl Scouts a run for their cookie-selling money if they ever choose to have bake sales! I agree with your choice of cake, although his Statue of Liberty crispy treat is a contender! Love his freckles & face paint. Sweet memory. You realize you’ll be showing his future wife those pictures, right?
