Boston Harbor Cruises {PSF/GMYBS}

Thursday, August 8, 2013 by Lolli 4 Comments

After our first day in Boston was washed out by rain, we decided to take charge the next day and go ahead and buy a guided trolley tour (with Beantown Trolley) for the following day. We figured that if day number 2 was rained out as well, we’d at least be able to see the sights from the comfort of a covered bus…and if the weather was nice then we’d be able to take advantage of the hop on, hop off features of the trolley tour.

As an added bonus, our Beantown trolley tour came with free Boston Harbor Cruises tickets, and we started our day with a 45 minute cruise. Luckily, the rain held off for the entire boat ride, and though our pants got a little wet from the lingering water on top of the boat, we loved the tour!

The 45 minute cruise included a ton of history and information about the Boston area, but most importantly it included lots of fun photo opportunities (even with the gray skies!).

We caught a different view of the US Coast Guard ship that we had seen the day before (the one that had previously been crawling with Coast Guard doing drills). It’s a huge, maginficent ship!

The kids enjoyed the freedom of running around the boat. Luckily (possibly because of the weather) it wasn’t crowded at all!

This face cracks me up…he’s totally being silly (not grumpy at all!)…

    Wow. No family resemblance in the kids and their dad, huh? :)

    Looks like you all had fun. My kids would have loved roaming the boat too. Lucky you getting to go on it on a non crowded day.
