Apple got a haircut this weekend! Before: After: Just kidding! The big kids dressed Apple up in one of my old ballet costumes and Reese’s princess wig. He was SO into it!! We all love his new haircut. Peach fuzz!
Castle Park
We met a bunch of friends at “Castle Park” on Friday. We had originally planned on meeting my sister and BIL in Baltimore for a day at the Aquarium…until we learned that Good Friday was one of the 5 worst days (ie–CROWDED!) to go to the Aquarium. So we postponed. I think everyone was happy…
cOoKiEs!
While Apple took a super-long nap on Saturday and Peanut Butter took Noodle and Taco to the batting cages, Kiwi, Reese, and I made sugar cookies. Vanessa wandered in and out of the kitchen wondering what we were up to! The kids had so much fun decorating the Springy sugar cookies. Who am I fooling??…
How do YOU celebrate EASTER?
A conversation I had this weekend with some friends got me thinking about Easter traditions, so I thought I’d share what our family does. First of all, a week or two before Easter, we decorate eggs. I will probably hard boil at least 2 dozen eggs today so that we will have plenty to dye….
Happy St. Patty’s Day!
Are you wearing green? We are!

Happy Birthday, Reese!!

What a surprise!!
On Friday night at 9:50, I was sitting at my computer watching Lost and crocheting a blanket when “DING DONG!”….there was someone at my front door. Since I was not expecting anybody, and I was home alone (with 5 kids, of course!) I was a little freaked out. I quietly walked upstairs and peeked out…
If I Live to be 100
Today has been a lazy day. I was up too late last night, and so I was tired. So after Noodle’s dentist appointment this morning, I spent most of the rest of the school day reading. My current book is called If I Live to be 100 – Lessons from the Centenarians. I am loving…
Freezing our tooshies off!
The last few days have been BEAUTIFUL here in MD. So when a friend called up and asked if we wanted to meet her at a park this morning, I said “SURE!” I didn’t even bundle everyone up….it was sunny and the skies were blue. Whod’ve thought that the breeze would be so cold? Despite…
