Delivery Man: An Exclusive Peek at the New Movie

Tuesday, July 2, 2013 by Lolli 1 Comment

Note: Several months ago, I was invited to attend a Delivery Man press event where I was able to sit in on a scene while Cobie Smulders and Vince Vaughn were filming. My travel and accommodations were covered, but I received no compensation for this post. All opinions are my own.

What does it mean to be a family?

I come from a large family (I’m the third generation with 5 kids) and yet if you were to line up my aunts and uncles, my cousins, and my siblings you’d see that we’ve all turned out differently.

On the other hand, I loved finding out little things about my dad, who died when I was 2 1/2. Even though I didn’t grow up with him, I share his love (and dare I say talent?) for photography.

I love this quote about family from Richard Bach:

true family quote

Another great quote from Richard Bach…”Rarely do members of the same family grow up under the same roof.”

It’s so true. We might technically grow up living in the same house with the same parents, but our memories and reactions to the events of our childhoods turn out remarkably different.

About Delivery Man

In Delivery Man, Vince Vaughn plays an underachiever who is not content with what he’s been able to accomplish in his 40-ish years of life. He finds out, very unexpectedly, that an anonymous donation to a fertility clinic 20 years resulted in 533 children.

How would you feel if you discovered that you had 533 grown children?

In the movie, 142 of those fertility clinic children come forward to find out the identity of their biological father and Vince must decide whether or not to come forward.

Early sneak peek movie trailer:

In honor of Vince Vaughn’s 533 children, I am joining 533 bloggers across the internet to share this exclusive early trailer of the movie:

DELIVERY MAN stars Vince Vaughn, Cobie Smulders and Chris Pratt and opens in theaters everywhere November 22. Just an FYI – Delivery Man is not for kids – it’s rated PG-13 for mature themes.
