Wedding Photography Workshop #WW

Tuesday, July 2, 2013 by Lolli 13 Comments

Last Thursday, I joined my sister and the other incredible photographers at Char Photography studio for an all-day intensive wedding photography workshop. And when I say intensive I mean that we spent 12 hours discussing the ins and outs of taking wedding photos, running a wedding photography business, editing, using flash and then putting everything into practice as we took mock wedding photos (in other words, these photos are of recently graduated teens posing as a newly married couple. Even the cake was fake. lol).

I took pages and pages of notes…but that’s material for another more wordful blog post.

For now, here are a few of my favorite shots that I captured during our mock wedding. Despite the threat of a tornado and the massive rain storm that we experienced during our photo shoot, I had so much fun (Imagine! Wedding photos without the stress of the wedding day!).

Sounds fun! I can’t convince myself to do weddings seriously. They are just so not fun for me! I don’t even like to go to them as a guest. And to think I’m going to be in one in a couple of months.

I thought so too! I was amazed that they found the dress at an antique shop for something like $68. Crazy amazing deal!

Lovely! I don’t think I ever want to take wedding pictures because I don’t think I could handle the wedding-day stress!

Sounds like a fun (and educational) day in spite of the weather working against you – and the shots are all absolutely breathtaking! :)
