Doctor Who Tardis Easter Egg – Wordless Wednesday

Tuesday, April 24, 2012 by Lolli 18 Comments

My almost-13-year-old daughter, Necco, is a huge DOCTOR WHO fan (so is my 15 year old daughter, who by the way, claimed she was going to marry David Tennant until his recent birthday made him older than her dad).

Necco is also an artist, and her current craze is turning everything (like her Kindle case or an Easter egg) into the Tardis.

Before Necco painted this egg, she blew the insides out (my kids favorite Easter thing to do!). And, yes, I do realize that Easter was a few weeks ago. So?

On the other side of the counter, more traditional Easter eggs were being dyed.

Actually, she’s a very accomplished crocheter. I’ll have to suggest that to her!

You should teach her to crochet. She could make a TARDIS.

Oh, the Tardis egg is not edible. All of the liquid was blown out of the egg before she painted the empty shell. Can you imagine cracking that one on the side of the sink? ;)

I don’t think I could eat something so creative. This is amazing!

Yay! So glad you enjoyed the egg. I wish I could find the picture of the kindle case she painted. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. :)

This is officially the BEST Wordless Wednesday post I have ever seen. I’m supposed to be getting off the computer to read to my kids, but I had to get them over here to see the TARDIS egg first. We are all major Whovians. :D Your daughter ROCKS!

(BTW, you just inspired my kids to notice that their new cups are TARDIS blue. I think we’re going to have to figure out some black and white paint that won’t come off in the dishwasher…)
