Fireworks, Flags, and Family #WW

Tuesday, July 8, 2014 by Lolli 21 Comments

The 4th of July was a busy day, but we made it to the fairgrounds for fireworks. I’ve become a little obsessed with capturing creative shots of fireworks (see how I got these shots HERE) so I had to ask my teenage daughter which of my creative fireworks shots were cool to anybody other than me. Hopefully you can enjoy them, too!

Beautiful! I’ve been taking photographs for years, but have yet to make a serious attempt at fireworks. Our town has a celebration in August and the fireworks are shot practically right in our backyard, and your pictures have inspired me to look into how to capture this year’s display. Thank you!

These are great! While the fireworks are really amazing, I think my favorite is the one of the flag. What perfect light!

These pictures you took are fantastic. I really like all of the Firework photos. The picture with the tall grass in the forefront of the picture and the old bus towards the back is great – so much presentation in that picture. Thanks for sharing them.

My son and I are just learning our Canon T2i and we went to a party on the 4th. I managed to get some nice candid people shots and then when the fire works started I stated that we should have brought our tripod and tried to capture them. I’m definitely going over to the link that you so generously provided so that I can learn what to do for the next time. Your shots came out awesome. I love the sun coming through the flag one too. You are quite talented.

Mine too! I took a billion flag pictures because (true story) we were walking back from the port-a-potty and the sun was JUST RIGHT. It was just perfect timing.

Love the shots of the fireworks! I only got a couple good ones and plus, I didn’t have my good camera with me so I’ll have to catch some fireworks sometime this summer in our city since they’re doing another show in August. I love how you captured yours, nice job. :)

Sweetie you ROCK that camera! These are all amazing pics. And though the fireworks were probably harder shots, my favorite is the flag.
