Georgetown Cupcakes with a Friend – PSF

Thursday, December 15, 2011 by Lolli 20 Comments

What do two blogging friends do when they meet for the first time?

Photo by Kristi (from her iPhone!)

They find a place to eat, of course!

And what do those two bloggers do when they order a dozen famously gourmet cupcakes?

Well, if they are photographers, they take pictures of those cupcakes for 20 minutes before digging in.

Georgetown Cupcake

Oh yes. When Kristi from Live and Love Out Loud and I met up in DC last week, after the hug and the 30 minute drive to go 7 miles away….we ordered a delectable box of the best looking cupcakes around (from the home of DC Cupcakes).

And then we spent the next 20 minutes taking pictures of them. And each other taking pictures of them. And the Georgetown Cupcake people making them…

We did eventually dig in to the cupcakes. If you can imagine, they taste even better than they look. I tried two of their Christmas flavors – Christmas Caramel and Gingerbread, both of which were incredible.

PS – If you’re wondering, Kristi was even sweeter than the cupcakes. We’re already planning out the next time we can get together.

That’s so fun! I need someone with whom I can share a passion for taking a picture of a cupcake just as much as eating one. :)

    Yummy cupcakes!

Love the pictures of her taking pictures. So fun! This is the third time I have seen that photo of you two! First I saw it on Facebook, then on her blog, and now on yours! I think if I saw you on the street I would recognize you (but I don’t think I will be in your neck of the woods anytime soon!)

Thanks! And yes, as far as I’m concerned, photographing the heck out of cupcakes prior to consumption is the *only* way to go! :P

You can use any of these photos! I had fun sneaking some pictures of you in there, too. It was fun to see that we reacted the same way to those cupcakes. Must. Take. Pictures. First!!

They are pretty incredible. So soft. Perfect blend of flavors. Thank goodness they aren’t TOO close to my house!

I had so much fun hanging out with you, Lolli! It was definitely great to be with a fellow photographer who was just as concerned about photographing the cupcakes as I was! So refreshing! lol
By the way, I love your photos! Would it be okay to use the ones you took of me at a later date? I’ll link to you of course. :)
