Joy

Monday, August 16, 2010 by Lolli 8 Comments

What brings me joy?

How to answer that question? The trouble is that the answer might be different every day, depending on my mood and circumstances.

Some days, listening to the rain fall outside brings me joy. Other days, the hot sun shining down on me makes me happy.

Babies make me happy. I loved having babies. But the fact that my family is complete and I don’t have to be pregnant again brings me joy.

Many days, good music brings me joy. But other days, silence is even more joyful.

I love to travel, but nothing says “joy” like a full night’s sleep in my own bed.

Good friends bring me joy. Like nothing else.

Capturing a beautiful photo brings me joy. But so does leaving my camera at home and enjoying an experience with no distractions.

Some days, my kids drive me crazy. (Thank goodness for back-to-school!) But they always bring me joy. They are my life, and my life is full to the brim with kids. And with joy. It’s a good life.
