Pride…Before the Fall – Wordless Wednesday #Linky

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 by Lolli 13 Comments

KitKat dove in her first meet this weekend, and amazingly, I caught this photo of one of her practice dives. I was so incredibly proud.

First dive

Even more amazing is the fact that a few seconds before KitKat was ready to dive in the meet, my phone fell from my lap and took a 10 foot dive off the balcony where I was sitting onto the tile pool deck below.

The members of KitKat’s swim team gingerly handed me the pieces of my phone. A piece of case here. A battery there. Horrified, I checked the screen. It looked fine. One small dent on the corner of the phone as all I could find. I put the phone back together and turned it on. Perfect.

This phone (the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G by LG in case you were wondering) has nine lives. You’d never know it fell off a balcony onto a tile floor. Phew!

Is this really her 1st year diving? Her form is great!!

I was on the diving team for 13 years (started at 5 and dove until I was too old) and loved it… so very excited for her… and for your un-broken phone!!
