The S’mores Road Trip to BlogHer

Tuesday, August 3, 2010 by Lolli 10 Comments

My family and I have quite a history with s’mores. We love them and make them quite often. Whether we’re making them during a power outage over candle flame…..

dinner by candle-light

Or making really good use out of old Spanish homework…..

roasting marshmallows over Spanish homework

Or making s’mores in the kitchen with extended family…..

We love s’mores.

Who doesn’t? Ok, I admit that I am a sucker for anything that has chocolate in the middle (especially a Hershey’s bar!), though anytime we have Hershey’s bars in the house a certain ketchup-loving boy I know tends to hog them all. If we could come up with a way to sustain that kid on Hershey’s chocolate and ketchup, he would be the happiest boy alive.

There’s another reason I am particularly fond of S’mores right now. Hershey’s is sending a whole load of my favorite bloggers AND MYSELF to new York City from the DC area. Not only do I get to travel in style on the Amtrak, but I get to do it with some of the best bloggers around (my personal friends!). And then once I’m in New Work, I’ll be visiting the S’mores Suite to see if I can sneak any chocolatey treats. You should too! Details below. You can count on me to be tweeting and taking lots of pictures during our 2 hour ride up to New York on Thursday morning, and again on our return to DC. I’m just hoping that the other passengers on the train don’t get too annoyed by our blogging craziness (because it IS going to be crazy).

AS PART OF THE S’MORES ROAD TRIP TO BLOGHER I RECEIVED A ROUND TRIP TICKET ON AMTRAK TO THE CONVENTION. ANY VIEWS EXPRESSED IN THIS POST ARE MY OWN.
