80’s Costume Party with Momz Share

Tuesday, May 17, 2011 by Lolli 32 Comments

I’m usually not the stand-out, adventurous type, but apparently I’ll do just about anything for my local blogging friends.

On Saturday, I headed north to the latest Momz Share event with a few of my favorite local bloggers. The theme was the 80s, and I made an attempt at going for the early 80s look with hand-made leg warmers and all.

The kids were embarrassed to watch me walk out the door (one child suggested that I put a mask or dark sunglasses on so the neighbors wouldn’t recognize me). Somehow, I not only made it out the door, but I was brave enough to show off my Just Dance 2 skills in front of the whole party.

My legs are still a little sore from all the dancing.

Thanks. You would have had a blast dancing with us. We really need to do that again. When I don’t have an injured back. :) As far as the jeans go….I can NOT wear low waisted jeans. So I finally found a brand (Gloria Vanderbilt) that still makes high waisted jeans. YES, I WEAR THEM ALL THE TIME. I just don’t tuck my shirt in. They feel great, they make me look better, and they don’t feel like they are falling down. My teenage daughter thinks I am SO crazy.

    I have FOUR pair. :)

I was not born until 1990, so I cannot relate to an 80’s party, but this looks awesome. I love the Fraggle Rock shirt, it was my favorite cartoon growing up.
