Who else LOVES desserts? I’m a dessert-a-holic, but surprisingly I didn’t share as many new recipes to satisfy my sweet tooth last year as I have in previous years.
I’ll count that as a positive thing (but it probably just means that I’m still making all of the OLD dessert recipes and adding new recipes at a slower rate).
Since I shared my top 10 main dish recipes of 2016 yesterday, I figured it was only fitting that I share my best desserts, too.
Best Dessert Recipes of 2016 from Food Fun Family
My recipe for quick-rise cinnamon rolls was one of the top posts of the entire year, and rightly so! I love freshly-baked cinnamon rolls, but I don’t always love the amount of time they take. This recipe cuts down on a lot of the time but doesn’t skimp on the taste at all!
I’ve been making OR eating this layered strawberry jello salad since I was a kid. It’s synonymous with the holidays for me! You’ll never believe what’s in the middle layer.
My husband makes the BEST peanut butter cookies, hands down. Don’t believe me? Check out his recipe and whip up a batch for yourself.
I love my husband’s peanut butter cookies, but when we make them with Snickers in the middle, they achieve a whole new level of amazingness!
Sometimes I just want an easy dessert and a quick chocolate fix. This cookie fits the bill!
Most people think of granola as a topping for yogurt or a snack to take on hikes or campouts. This dark chocolate granola satisfies my sweet tooth and my chocolate craving but has the added benefit of being a little better for me. So I can eat twice as much, right??
These rainbow-on-the-outside, pink-on-the-inside cake balls are so much fun. They may look like the perfect treat for a kids’ birthday party (which they are!) but I admit I ate more of these than my kids did!
I LOVE all things nutella, and these nutella-cheesecake-filled crescent rolls are sure to please any nutella fan like me!
I love muffins – for breakfast, for dessert, for a mid-day snack! Like the dark chocolate granola above, these flourless banana oatmeal muffins are a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth without the guilt (especially when I add a chocolate chips to the batter!).
And last, but not least, no dessert recipe list is complete without my favorite no-fail buttercream frosting. This recipe just happens to come with printable cupcake toppers for St. Patrick’s Day, too!
