When my oldest daughter was baptized in January 2005, I was pregnant with my youngest son, AJ. I remember how old and mature I thought she was – my oldest was 8! Now here we are, 8 years and a few months later. My oldest is 16 and my baby boy is 8. As grown up as he may be, I still see him as my little boy.
My parents and my sister’s family were able to join us for the baptism day this past weekend. It was busy but so wonderful to have so much family together.
Of course, we took a billion photos…

Before we took this picture, KitKat said, “These are NOT going to be our Christmas card pictures. Promise.” Ha! I have a feeling that by the time December rolls around, my older son will be towering over me…
My niece really loved the gummy lifesavers on top of the cupcakes that a friend of mine made for the party after the baptism.
Aren’t these the BEST cupcakes for an 8 year old birthday?!

Oh no. You little one is 8 it’s the start of “My baby did…” and then in the blink of an eye they are all grown up. So I warn you don’t blink.

I bet you do! I spent years in the Primary presidency, so I’ve attended a fair share over the years…including 5 of my kids’ baptisms. They are always wonderful days!

I love how excited he looks in these pictures and I love the cupcakes you made. They are very clever. It looks like you had a great day!
I am actually in the Stake Primary Presidency, so I get to attend a LOT of baptisms. But I never get tired of seeing the joy and excitement of all the kids and being part of their special day.

It WAS exciting! :) It was also one of those days that, while happily anticipated, I was glad when it was over. lol
