Day of Service Maryland 2012 – Wordless Wednesday #Linky

Tuesday, October 2, 2012 by Lolli 16 Comments

This past weekend was a state-wide Day of Service and guess who volunteered to head up a bunch of activities? Yep. We did. Or should I say…CandyMan did. The rest of us happily went along with it.

Our main activity was creating and running a bunch of carnival games. Luckily, the weather was gorgeous and I started the day off with a ton of food tickets. Hot dogs and cotton candy will make our kids do anything.

In other news, I spent the entire day looking for the best solution for the Feedburner mess. I knew I needed to make a change to my subscription service, but I didn’t want to jump into any one new service without investigating all of my options. I ended up going with Feedblitz, and have high hopes for the transfer. Unfortunately, I’m still not seeing all of my subscribers over there yet. As in a couple hundred are missing…

If you have been an RSS or email subscriber, would you click over to make sure you are still subscribed? Of course, newbies are welcome too.

Families that do good together stay together. Or something. Either way, it’s awesome!

This is great that you are teaching them at a young age to be of service to others…wonderful. Tic tac toe game was cute.

Love it! I’m stealing the big tic tac toe idea for our school Halloween party. That looks like such a fun thing to do!

    How cool!

Our church has a day of service every month where we help our friends and neighbors in the community, including those of other faiths. It is so fun to get out and serve others!

Will you do a post on your experience with Feedblitz? I’m still checking out my options and would love some feedback from those that have made the switch already.

It was community-driven. I know around here a lot of churches and schools came up with activities and service projects. There were a lot of things going on that I didn’t know about til afterwards.

I didn’t even know about this. Where in MD was it?
