One of the greatest things about writing so frequently on my blog is that I can look back on the year and reminisce about all of the best moments. 2012 was full of travel (something I love!), great opportunities, and tremendous growth from my kids. I can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store….

Sweet 16 – Give Me Your Best Shot #PSF
I am still having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that I have a a 16 year old daughter. How in the world have 16 Christmases gone by since that Christmas Eve that I welcomed my first daughter into my life? I am also amazed at how different my daughter is at…
The 2012 Christmas Morning Photo – Wordless Wednesday
Merry Christmas! Our holiday has been incredible, from the Christmas morning photo tradition in front of the Christmas tree WITHOUT complaint to the millions of hugs and kisses and Thank Yous from the kids. I even got a Christmas afternoon nap. That’s the best present ever for a mom, don’t you think? Linked up to…
When Is the Right Age to Give Kids a Cell Phone? #digitalwellness
When should kids get their own cell phones? That’s a trick question, right? As a mother of teenagers, I am asked this question quite often because (for some reason) other parents figure that I know the answer. The holidays are a HUGE time for parents to give cell phones as gifts. Will your kids be…
Wrapping. And Wrapping. And Wrapping
About a week ago, as I was recovering from that nasty flu that hit ONLY me (I’m actually very grateful that no one else in my family came down with it), I decided that if I was going to enjoy this Christmas season at all, I would need to give in to it completely. So…not…

They are also time consuming. But…
English Toffee – Grandma’s Recipe
It’s not really the holidays until I start making candies and cookies. If you’ve been following my Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter accounts, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been baking like crazy. This English Toffee is not only one of my favorite candies to eat, but it is full of good memories. Several years ago, I…
My Kids Have Two New Cousins #WW Wordless Wednesday
We have always lived pretty far away from most of our family, so the fact that my sister and her family have been living within 2 hours of us for the last few years has been a HUGE deal for us. My kids adore her two girls, and now that my sister has added two…
Chewy Ginger Cookies with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter #G2KHoliday
I guess you could call me an ingredient snob. I wasn’t always this way. But sometime between my first and second year of marriage, I developed a cookie-making complex. Every batch I made was a flop and my husband convinced me that it all had to do with the ingredients I was using. So I…
